So, you know how you’ve sent your writing out to an editor…and it’s sitting on her desk. And sitting. And sitting. And you send a nice little follow up letter. But you still don’t know where the heck your manuscript is? And you know the editor is busy, and is concentrating on her own authors. And when you become a published author you want the editor to concentrate on you, not on someone trying to break in. But…you still wonder what’s happened to your manuscript.:roll:

Then you play the what if game. What if I write/call ask again, and it just ticks her off and back comes the manuscript. What if it’s lost. (though honestly, who doesn’t send their stuff now with some kind of tracking?) So I always know it at least GETS to the BUILDING the editor is in. How to politely ask yet again, what is the status of my manuscript…without bugging.

Kind of like complaining about your kid’s teacher. You worry about complaining too much, because your child still is sitting there in the teacher’s class. Day after day…

how come so many people post to their blog that they have problems coming up with something to say? I find I think of topics all the time.

I think the milk tastes funny. My husband INSISTS it doesn’t. He is sure he is right. (I know he’s not). But I let it drop and open an new milk bottle.

Which leads me to…why do we still call them milk bottles when they are in plastic now? Jugs?

Which leads me to…why do women more often give in on arguments to keep the peace than men?

Which leads me to… well you get the idea. Every thought seems to now bring up the immediate response “hey, I could blog about that”.

And I still love the smilies (Hey, I could really blog about weird smilies I’ve found…) See, it’s an addiction! Every thought wants to be blogged!  :idea:

I’m turning into a male. You know that thing they do when they do a project around the house? They start out to change out a light switch…but end up repainting the room with all their sidestracking…and the light switch ends up still not changed out??

That’s how I am with this blog.

I go to post a new entry…

But I really need to learn Wordpress (the blog software) …oops, I should relearn how to use Paint Shop Pro and work on some graphics…I should learn this new CSS stuff…no one uses tables anymore on a webpage…I should find a new background. Hm…wouldn’t it be nice to see the changes on my own computer first before I upload them live…(download programs to my PC to allow me to do this, install them, figure them out) Etc, etc.

And then…a new blog entry still isn’t up… See…I’m becoming a male….

Oh, and you can now add smilies to your comments. I love smilies…
