okay, lots of people have asked me about where to get smilies: Here’s some links. (and I’m avoiding the Wordpress Conversion this morning…why do you ask?? ) 
click the links on the left
click on each box to see the entire set it represents
right click on ones you like and save them to your computer.
here are some I downloaded when I was using PHPBB forum software on a site.
Make sure you read copyright stuff on any page you get smilies from.
