Ha! The suckers! Thank goodness teenagers sleep until at least noon. That was my salvation this week. AND! I finished my revisions. There is something so rewarding about flipping that last page of revisions over onto the stack of pages and knowing that you’ve input all the changes and it’s FINISHED. I just kept at it :typing: like a good little camper. Trying to ignore the XBox fights, etc. Now when I get home I can print it off and mail it.
I always do a printout and mark it all up for my final revisions. Do any of you do it totally on the screen? Without a printout? I’d miss too many things if I did that. I have to read and mark it up and jot notes in the margins for my final revisions.
NOW! The good part! On to something new. I love starting something brand spanking new. And I think I’ll indulge myself with some updating of the website. Want to add some more plugins to WordPress. And some new smilies
Love those sleeping teenagers! Hurray for finishing revisions!! mail that puppy out!
I do most of the revisions on screen but always print a hard copy for one final go-over. I don’t know why you catch things there that you don’t on screen, but it sure seems to be that way.
Hurray again!!
Yeah on finishing the revisions!!!!!! I can’t do it completely on the computer and typically I paper edit twice –before and after the CP’s have had at it.
Congrats on the angels sleeping in :coffee2:
Doesn’t it feel fantastic? You rock!
I like printing out a hard copy because I miss so much on the screen. I can’t catch typos for whatever reason. 😳 Anyway, have fun mailing it next week!
Hooray for finishing!!!!
I always catch stuff on hard copy that I miss on the screen.
Hooray for finishing the revisions. I’m in the midst of them and hating it. Why can’t we write it perfect the first time?
Oh! Now, maybe its the coffee :coffee2: talking but I just love Trish’s idea! A new plan – write it perfect the first time and no revisions!
Congratulations, Kacey. Isn’t that a great feeling? I used to do all revisions on the screen until my last manuscript. I printed it out and I was amazed – shocked! even. Until I saw it in hard copy, I was positive every sentence was brilliant
I do it mostly onscreen but for the final draft I really need to see it on paper!! Congrats on finishing!
