So I had the best Mother’s Day. We were at a BBQ at my sister’s (she drew the short straw
) and my oldest called and said “sorry I couldn’t make it. Happy Mother’s Day. Have to study for finals) Then I look up and he’s walking around the side of the house with flowers. I, of course, start crying because I have all my babies with me for Mother’s Day.
If you read about my liars
and were wondering what they got me. ..They each got me a lone red geranium. One of them a bit bedraggled.
Background: when they were in grade school the school always had a geranium sale the week before mother’s day. The boys would squirrel their money away, or beg my husband for $$ and buy me one. Bring it home on the bus, so it always looked beat up. But I had a geranium for years. I miss that. So this year they thought of getting me one again. Cool gift!
Okay, I must send the youngest off to school, and chase the older two back to college for their finals.

That’s so sweet about the geraniums! And yes, get to work! No fear!
You go, girl! Good luck on choosing a story. And I love the red geranium story. What a sweet bunch of kiddos you have.
I’m so glad you “had the best day ever.” So did I.
Amy, remind me that I have great kids the next time one of them (or more
) drives me insane
Mary, glad you had a good mother’s day too.

That’s why we get the good days, Kacey, to get us through those bad ones.
