wine on the keyboard

Why are there days like this?

by Kay~Kacey on 5/12/2005

And why aren’t there MORE days like this??? So I’ve done 40 pages this week. And worked. And gone to physical therapy for my stupid shoulder. I decided no more namby pamby excuses on why I can’t get the pages done. There is always SOMETHING that needs to be done. I’m so tired of my blah, blah, blah excuses.

I need to get this bookwork done. I need to drive kid to soccer. (now, I can make this work for about a 5 hour reason why I can’t write. Think about driving him. Not enough time. If I start something I’ll just have to stop. etc. etc. BANG 5 hours gone). There’s laundry to do. (now, honestly, does anyone in your household not have a THING they could wear if you didn’t do laundry for a week?)

My excuses all sound like :blah: :blah: :blah: to me now. I have GOT to get more discipline with this. Now I’m off to reward myself with an ice cold beer  for ignoring the siren voice that said my shoulder was too sore after PT and I just COULDN’T sit at the keyboard. :typing: I sat my butt down in the chair (with a heating pad on my shoulder) and wrote the pages. Please encourage me! I need strokes :crazy2:

Good job, Kacey. I wish I could get rid of the :blah::blah:s and get my butt in the chair. And, yeah, they are lame-o excuses for me too.

I have a lot of excuses, but when I get the discipline rolling, I’m good. I just wish I had the discipline more often!

Way to go, Kacey! Now you’re making me feel bad. I need to get my act together and :typing:.

How is the shoulder, btw?

Go, Kacey, go!!!!!

You go, girl! Sounds like you’ve had a good week so far. Keep it up!

Thanks for asking Jill. The shoulder sucks on T/Th afternoons. After PT  But I’m getting some mobility back, which is good. And most of the time it doesn’t bother me much.

Thanks for all the encouraging words everyone. It does help. I’m really enjoying this total immersion into the story. I can now really see the appeal of writing in big chunks like this. Well big for me anyway.
