The Big Deck

regarding the deck we are building in the backyard …

So, my mother never told me there would be days like this. . . I’m sitting at the kitchen table today with 5 males …ranging from 15 to, well, let’s just say old enough to know better. The conversation goes something like this.

“That’s sure a big deck you have.”
“Thanks. My deck is big.”
“The wood is guaranteed to last, or your money back.”
“It’s good when your wood lasts.”
“My wood always lasts, no complaints so far.”
“My deck is bigger than your deck.”
“Is not.”
“Hey, you’re going to be known as the guy with the big deck.”
“I like a big firm deck.”

Males….gotta love the way they can relate everything to their…deck…
