This and That Catch Up
by KaceyFirst off, CONGRATS to Amy. Cool news! She sold to SuperRomance!
Drinks in Reno to celebrate!! I can’t wait to meet all the new writers I’ve met through blogging this year!
Davenport…since that’s such a cool word for a sofa…from Etymology online . “large upholstered couch,” 1897, apparently named for the manufacturer.” So now we know.
I’m still working on my synopsis
I have the rough draft, but I SO need to cut like 4 pages!
I’ve been working on training the dh…you know, so he’ll be supportive of my writing, the time I spend writing, the time I spend THINKING about writing, the time I spend daydreaming and plotting…and well, you understand… (sh
don’t tell him! He’ll never know it’s a devious plot…) So I talk a lot about my writing, what I’m working on, what I’m frustrated with (ie the
synopsis). So he calls yesterdayand asks me what I’m doing on my day off. I said “oh I went to the bank, picked up a cake for the birthday party, ran to the bookstore, went to the grocery store.” So he says “Oh, avoiding finishing the synopsis, huh?”
I think I’m training him just a teeny bit too well ![]()

Uuuh, yep, I’d say he pegged it!
And thanks again for the congrats and the link!
LOL!
Yeah, trained a little TOO well.
Thanks for the etymology of the word Davenport. I love etymologies.
Wow, Kacey! That’s way better than I have my hubby trained.
Yep, it sounds like your training worked.
Wait until he starts coming home and asking how many pages you wrote today.
Uh … methinks he was right on!!
Davenport is a cool word.
Did you finish the synopsis yet?
LOL on the hubby! My DH tends to write in a few naughty phrases in my WIP whenever I leave it open on the computer. When I come back to start working on it again (after a chocolate break, of course) I always LMAO.
LOL! He does know! But good luck with the synposis.:crazy2:
