okay, I’m SO READY for Reno. I love going to the RWA National conference. Catching up with old friends. Meeting new people. Gossiping. Seeing what people are wearing

So who is going? And if it’s your first conference do you have any questions? My group of friends has been going for, well lots of years. We’ve known each other since GEnie days…an old dialup message board. Twelve years maybe? We LOVE conferences. You can find us in the bar most evenings at some time or the other 😆
And while some of the lists are going on about what you can and cannot wear…the honest truth is you’ll see a little bit of everything. And at the Rita Awards you’ll see long gowns to short fancy cocktail dresses to nice dresses to fancy black pants and sparkly tops. So don’t feel like you have to go out and spend big bucks on a long gown.

I’m going! I’m a conference virgin , I’m a total introvert, crowds make me nervous and I don’t really know many people.
And for some reason I’m not nervous yet. 😯

I’m going! This is my third conference, only this year I’ll be wearing a pink first sale ribbon. Yay! I’ll try to meet up, too, on Thursday night. I’m wearing a vintage gown of my grandmother’s to the RITAs, I just have to hold my breath the whole time to stay in it.

I’m sooo jealous of everyone going to Reno! I can’t wait to hear the stories though.

I am SO excited about Reno. It’s my first conference and six of us are coming down from Nova Scotia. I can’t wait. I’m lucky to be rooming with Julianne MacLean who is a bit of a vet and on our loooong flights down I’m going to pick her brain until she threatens to throw me off the plane. 😆 I’m really happy to be going with a group of friends and meeting some bloggers once I’m down there. I think it’s going to be a blast. :lips:
Yes, I’m sure there will be lots of details from Reno…though I’m still undecided on whether I’m bringing my laptop or not. I usually do…but I’m thinking of traveling lighter since it’s so damn hard to get into Reno. No direct flights. Plane changes. Etc. I love to travel, but I really, really prefer places I can fly to directly. Hm, a flight snob. That’s me.

Can’t make it this year and don’t know about next year, either. It’s a toss-up between going to England or going to Atlanta – hmmm…which one do you think I’ll pick? 😉
