Yes, I’m a pen slut. Seriously. My favorite pen is the Mont Blanc I swiped borrowed from my dh DON’T TELL HIM! But I can’t have it with me everywhere, and I do like to mark up my manuscripts in color. So, tell me your favorite pen. Mine used to be a uniball vision exact. But I either can’t find them anymore, or they’re different now. I need smooth rolling ink. No skipping.

Do do you have a certain kind of pen you like to use? Or do you just pick up any old one that you find? Does it have to be a certain color? (I HATE blue ink…)

So we usually go to New Orleans in September for a big dental conference so the dh can get his continuing ed.

So last year Hurricane Ivan went through right when the conference was supposed to be…so they evacuated New Orleans and cancelled the conference. We spent 3 days in Kansas City instead…

So this year, as we’re making plans to go to the conference, we decide to add a few days on our vacation time and rent a condo at Fort Walton Beach in Florida before the conference. Yep, the one that got hit with Hurricane Dennis just last week…

So, if anyone wants disaster to strike…just ask us to book a vacation there. Okay??

okay, I’m SO READY for Reno. I love going to the RWA National conference. Catching up with old friends. Meeting new people. Gossiping. Seeing what people are wearing

Michelle suggested that bloggers meet in the back left corner at the cocktail reception on Thursday night. So if you’re going to the reception, look for us there!

So who is going? And if it’s your first conference do you have any questions? My group of friends has been going for, well lots of years. We’ve known each other since GEnie days…an old dialup message board. Twelve years maybe? We LOVE conferences. You can find us in the bar most evenings at some time or the other

And while some of the lists are going on about what you can and cannot wear…the honest truth is you’ll see a little bit of everything. And at the Rita Awards you’ll see long gowns to short fancy cocktail dresses to nice dresses to fancy black pants and sparkly tops. So don’t feel like you have to go out and spend big bucks on a long gown.

Okay, who is going and when are you getting there? Is it your first conference? Coming alone? With friends? Your dh? Check in! Can’t wait to meet you!
