Lots of HUGS, Kacey. Yuck on the rejection. :sad: And I hate sports, too. I quit them my sophomore year after they told me it was basically my job or the sport. I chose the job! (working at a library).

Kacey I’m so sorry about the R. I received what for all practical purposes is an R from an editor who LOVED my book and asked for revisions. I talked to her last week and while she didn’t reject it, she is LEAVING the publisher so is going to pass my manuscript onto someone else. Ugh. All that work and hope, and she’s leaving the publishing business. I can’t even submit to her at another house because she’s moving to freaking Ohio.

Hugs on your horrible day. I know how it feels. Had one myself this weekend. My life felt like it was imploding (Dad taking chemo, house a mess, kids misbehaving, dogs needed grooming, expecting a rejection any day). So I cleaned. Crying and cleaning….what a combo. Next time I’ll add a beer too. My world at least got cleaner. and the dogs went to the groomer. At least I could fix a couple of things. But some hurts, like getting cut from soccer and rejections are harder to fix. Just know some day they’ll wish they’d bought your book. and get another out there as soon as possible. Hugs.
