My youngest got his driver’s license last week, so I’ve been thinking about milestones in my life. It seems like my whole life I’ve been waiting for the next big thing.

To be a teenager
to turn 16 and drive
to go to college and move out
to turn 21 and drink
to finish college and get my first apartment
To get married
To have kids
To get my last kid potty trained
To get my youngest in school full time
To get my oldest driving so he could help with the schlepping to sports
To get my oldest off to college
To get my youngest to drive so I could be a FREE WOMAN!!

But now, I’m at this weird stage. I’m not really looking forward/waiting for any more stages. I guess I could say I’m waiting for my youngest to go to college…but I’m sure not looking forward to it. There’s retirement…but that’s years off for me. I’m just at this I’m content right where I am stage, and I’m not counting the time until the next big stage. . . for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. Weird, weird.

Okay, I spent the week stressing with re-entry problems, new kitties, my youngest getting his driver’s license and buying a new car… along with going back to work, of course. Really, could I cram in more into my first week back from vacation???

But now it’s time to get back at it. Hit the writing hard. I’m back into affirmations this week too. Everyday. Anyone want to join me on these again?? I need to settle down and pick one of the proposals I’m playing with and really get to work on it and get some more submissions out there. (I hear that’s how you know, actually sell ) I don’t have enough out there, and I’m tired of waiting on stuff I do have out there. So it’s time to paper New York and Toronto with more submissions. The last month I’ve just been playing with about 3 ideas. Need to pick one, stick with it, and finish the proposal.

So anyone else ready to jump back into it? Now that school has started, fall has begun and my vacation is over???

There is a cat back in my house, all is right with my world. Well, actually, two new kitties. We got them this weekend at the adopt-a-thon they had city wide. From the Humane Society. A girl and boy. Aren’t they cute???

Now, I’m getting a LOT of help with names…
Black and White (notice they are both black)
Fast and Furious
Frick and Frack (sp?)
One and Two
Pink and Green (the color of their collars…)

“Pink” has discovered the fish tank…

“Green” has discovered hours of fun with the ball in the ring toy.

And there are more great names suggested:
(nasty male suggestion) never mind
Home and Depot
Steak and Shake
TC and TOC (The Cat, and The Other Cat)

Needless to say, the kitties don’t have names yet…
