Believe it or not

by Kay~Kacey on 12/12/2006

I printed out my story single spaced for the read through. It is bugging me though. :wallbash: I’m about 50 pages into the read through (or would that be 100 pages since it’s single spaced… :crazy2: ) and I’ve STILL found a few typos!! An it’s for an its. A missing comma. Blah, blah, blah :blah: I mean, get real. I’ve gone over this story again and again!

I’m hoping to get it mailed out this week. Or next Monday at the latest. Though I hate mailing things during the whole Christmas mailing rush thing…

Anyway, Suzanne Mcminn has a great blog article today about things that make you happy. Fun to read through the comments. It’s (notice I used the correct it’s/its) always nice to reflect on the good things in our lives!

Check. That’s finished. Yay!

okay, Check. One thing on the list completed. I finally finished the revisions on my manuscript…the one where the editor said my conflict sucked (well, not exactly 🙄 ) but if I fixed it, she’d read it again. So I think I finally have it nailed now. Maybe. :crazy2: I’m going to print it all out and give it one more read through. The question is…can I force myself to print it out single spaced or another tree saving format?? The jury is still out on that one.

And on to other good news. My friend Tori, Queen of all TV knowledge has informed me that Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is on TV this Friday night. Yes, that little known secret :blah: of mine. And I’m supposed to go out Friday night 😯 What’s a woman to do?? Yes, I have the movie on DVD…what do you think I’m nuts??? :crazy2: But it’s just not the same as watching it on TV each year…

Drum Roll December

by Kay~Kacey on 12/4/2006

Yes, name that month. My critique group is gearing up to hit it hard in January. We always go big guns in January! So this month we’re hammering out goals, gearing up, preparing for a BIG BIG January.

We have one member of our group who is the goal making Queen. She gives us the structure for making goals and then we have at it. A few times a year, we post how we are doing on our goals. Helps keep us accountible…or makes us ashamed… 😳 I’ll try and share some of her goal setting tips at the end of the month.

In other news, I’m still working on the revisions for my one book, trying to fix the conflict. I’m almost there. But I decided to totally rewrite the last few chapters. That’s what I’m working on now. Hope to have it finished soon and mailed out.
