The Perfect Husband

by Kay~Kacey on 2/14/2008

The Perfect Husband–

or why I’m totally nuts about SuperGuy

  • He’s the strongest, gentlest man I’ve ever known.
  • He has a cute butt. (okay, I admit, sometimes I’m a superficial kind of gal.)
  • He’s always there for me. Always. No matter what I try, he supports me. Writing, blogging, photography, knitting–anything and everything.
  • We get up early and have coffee together every morning. Usually in my office watching the birds. I love that he takes this time to talk with me. I love that he fills my bird feeders each week because he knows how much I enjoy birdwatching.
  • He buys me great silver jewelry. I love silver jewelry. I sometimes pick a fake fight with him so he’ll bring me silver jewelry as a peace offering. He knows this about me though and lets me get away with it. (I told you that sometimes I’m a superficial kind of gal! )
  • He’s a voracious reader like me. Sometimes we just sit and read together.
  • We still enjoy just sitting and talking. A lot. We sometimes spend hours just sitting in front of the fire, sipping wine and talking.
  • He’s a wonderful woodworker and makes things for me. Like this bookcase and this spice rack and my very cool desk..
  • His strong arms wrap around me and make me feel so safe and secure.
  • He tells me I’m cute even when I’m wearing my Elmo tshirt, gym shorts and wearing my glasses
  • He knows what a vacuum is and isn’t afraid to use it.
  • His voice is deep and sexy. Sigh. It makes my heart flutter. Really. Still.
  • He’s honest. Very honest. He’s a great role model for my boys. He’s a wonderful father and stepfather.
  • He mows the yard. I hate mowing the yard.
  • He’s fun. We have a lot of fun together. His eyes sparkle with mischief. I love his warm, wonderful eyes.
  • He cooks. He’s a great cook. He cooks A LOT. That’s a good thing.
  • I never thought it was possible to love a person this much. It is. I wish this for all of my boys. That they’ll find someone they love, and who loves them as much and SuperGuy and I love each other.

He does sound like one SUPER guy! I just love hearing about long term relationships that are still…well, SUPER. I feel so fortunate to feel the same way about my husband.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you both.

He does have a great sense of humor, and I am lucky! I know that.

He gave me a hydrangea plant for Valentine’s Day. I feel a photo session coming on…

And we can plant it outside once it warms up!

Another comment from me. Why is it that gray hair looks so nice on men? My husband is gray, too, and it’s so attractive on him. I let mine go gray for awhile and I felt it aged me ten years. Oh well.

You are blessed with a wonderful husband and more so because you are so aware of your blessing. Happy Valentine’s Day

Hi Kasey,

Wow your a pretty lucky gal and guess what he’s even luckier to have you, someone that will spill her feelings so easily.

I think you are the newest visitor to my site in recent months, I’ve been kinda boring lately. When the weather improves I’ll be out with my camera getting back into the things that brought most folks to my site. Hope you’ll come again.
