Fascination with all things Orange

by Kacey

I don’t know why I do this to myself. I think capturing shades of orange is so difficult. As you witnessed by my amaryllis that refused to be photographed.

But out here, the bright orange flowers call to me. So I snap and snap. Then I work on them in Photoshop. And I curse myself for trying to get these orange flowers captured just right. Why do so many flowers refuse to have their picture taken?? They hide their faces from me. They fight me. They are just difficult!

I do like the shadows in the center of the flower on this one.

Same kind of flower, different exposure. These flowers look almost paper thin.

Some kind of orange flower. I so don’t know my California flowers. This one grows on a bush.

These flowers are just gorgeous.

And SuperGuy keeps asking to use the camera

Any guesses on what color tomorrow will be???

Well, here is another orange thing I adore. And look… SuperGuy seems to have a Corona in the background there, now doesn’t he?? I think I might have one of those with my name on it…Bye for now…

  1. Kacey,

These pics really brighten my day. A good dose of color therapy!

  2. Product placement? Did Corona pay you a royalty to post that. Nature is free! Aren’t we glad?

  3. Great pics!!

  4. I think your orange flowers look great!!!

And I’m with Colleen! You should get Corona to subsidize your blog.

  5. These almost look like poppies and trumpet vine, don’t they? Incredible!
