April Photo of the Month

by Kay~Kacey on 5/2/2008

We had a great turn out for April’s Photo of the Month. 18 entries. Be patient! The page may take awhile to load with that many photos. But it’s worth it!

EDITED TO ADD: The voting is now closed.

Since there were so many photos, I grouped them into 3 groups. Flowers. Animals. Other. You get to vote for each category! There is a separate poll after each section. Yes, you get to vote 3 times! Yay! Does it get much more fun than this? I think not!

I’ll leave the polls up for a few days and then we’ll see who bribed the most people Sent the most people over from their blog. Got the most votes in each category. We had GREAT photos this month. Good luck choosing your favorites. It’s a tough decision!

Hey, Kacey. These photos are great! My co-workers have a question, though. Each of them has a computer in their room and some have their own laptops in the building. There are just a few who want to vote, but they can’t vote from their computer in their classroom. Is it because we’re on a wireless network here? One of them voted last time and it worked.

Not a big deal. Just a question.

Kacey May 2, 2008 at 10:09 am

Kate, it shouldn’t matter if they are on the wireless connection. Unless something on the network is blocking them. But I’d think that it would block access to my whole site.

My site was down and wonky for a bit this morning. (over an hour gosh darn it. So annoyed at my host. Maybe it had something to do with that?) Have them try again. Otherwise, I’m at a loss. Especially if they could vote last time.

Kacey, it’s the IP address. Last month we had Verizon DSL here and we just got Comcast and it’s faster. So it looks like it’s allowing one vote per IP address. So if someone works at a large corporation, then only one person there could vote.

Ok. I think we figured it out. But they wanted to vote while they were here.

Very nice, Kacey, how you divided the photos into three theme groups! Good idea! Makes the voting decisions easier. Thanks for doing this!

All of the pictures are wonderful! How are we supposed to choose JUST ONE?

Margie May 2, 2008 at 12:42 pm

All great pics! I would have loved to participate but, alas, I have no website and I’m not a blogger. Is there another way… next time?

Christine May 2, 2008 at 1:08 pm

Great photos!! Alot of talent!!!

Kacey May 2, 2008 at 3:08 pm

Christine, sorry, about the one vote per IP thing. They should go home and vote then if they are true friends

Margie, is you have a flickr account or other photo sharing site, you can send me a link to a photo there and participate next month!

Suzanne May 2, 2008 at 4:29 pm
