Learning Curve

The Geeky One was so thrilled to find out I had a new camera to shove in his face…

close up

I don’t quite have the camera figured out, and didn’t have much time to play with it yet.

flowers in window

Getting a bit of noise in these pics. Though I haven’t got all the settings adjusted like I want yet either.

with bounced flash

Worked great with my flash bounced off the ceiling though. (Don’t the new graduates look great?) No surprise here, The Geeky One with his computer.

Well, I’m off to play with the camera all day and get it figured out!!

from superguy

Daisies from SuperGuy…he’s being awfully nice, isn’t he?? Yes, I’m getting suspicious too 😉

I think SuperGuy just feels bad for you, cause of the graduation thing. Sounds good anyway.
Have fun with your new camera! Yippee!!
We need to find a smiley with a camera!

The new camera’s debut! Wonderful. The DOF of the flower pics is so nice. Congrats on your new addition ;0)

SG is very kind to you. He knows how torn you felt because of the graduation dilemna. How lucky you are to have him!

(And your brand new camera).

:cool2:

What is the new camera? I am looking and cannot make a decision to save myself! HELP ME!

Kacey May 19, 2008 at 5:20 pm

Carol, it’s a Canon 40d. I just got the camera body. Already have lenses for it. I love it. I’ve played with it lots today. Still don’t have it all figured out though!

Yay on having a new toy! When we went digital, we stuck with the same brand of camera we’d had before so we could keep all our lenses. I have no idea how to set things for best effect, but I’m learning!

The pictures are beautiful. You’re an inspiration to a budding photographer.

Awesome!! I’m sure you’ll get it figured out in no time and then world, watch out! 😀

Barb May 21, 2008 at 10:19 am

Beautiful pics. I look forward to hearing all about your new camera.

Dang Woman!!! A camera AND flowers??? Geesh – do ya think that SuperGuy would mind coming to visit and training…. errr, I mean…. spending some time with my Hubs for awhile? (You and I could go walking with our cameras during this time). I’ll pay him! 😉
