Boy Noise Poker Style

by Kay~Kacey on 1/3/2009

There has been a lot of boy noise in my house while the boys have been in town for the holidays. Watching football, playing video games…and, of course, the inevitable game of poker.

It’s loud. It involves a lot of laughter, name calling, and beer drinking.

It also involves a lot of subtle hand signals. The slight flick of a finger.

pointing finger

A quick point.

Not sure what this hand signal is…

Then there are the looks. The looks hiding their elation with their hand…or their disgust.

Trying to look all cool about the game. Or there are the glances.

The looks trying to figure out whether his brother is bluffing or not.

who me, bluff?

Who me? Bluffing? Are you seriously accusing me of bluffing??

Ah, the sounds of boy noise. I sure miss it when they are gone. I keep thinking I’ll learn to play poker so I can join in…but then who would take all the photos??

Until my daughter and SIL moved from Wisconsin to Georgia, many of our holidays were spent alone. the house was eerily quiet and holidays were just like any other day…nothing special. With the addition of grandchildren our holidays are noisy and FUN! I wouldn’t have it any other way. Enjoy your boys and all the noise that comes with the territory. And, keep snapping those photos!

Our house is so quiet over the holidays. Even when the sons came home, it stayed quiet. (They’re like their father in that respect).
I need some noise today. Thanks for sharin’!!

Must have been cards in the air last night!

What a wonderful table – full of all your lovies.

Who would take pictures indeed! The Mamarazzi needs to be free to do her work.

Enjoy your time with your lovely family. I am in admiration of the obviously successful way you and SuperGuy blended your two families into one.

Those are great pictures. Our family used to play poker but things have melted down since then. I always enjoyed it although I’m not very good.

I think it would be fun just to watch the guys. The kid noise I have right now is the girls fighting over the barbie dream house.

Wow, what a big bunch of boys that seems like when you take a picture of them all together!!!!
