There actually IS a castle on top of one of those outcroppings, but I can’t remember exactly where it’s located.

I am a West Texas girl…who misses it badly! However, I-10 sucks! Did you turn off I-10 and head south for the Davis Mountains? If you had, you would have seen some beautiful country! However, I-10 is one, long, scarey, endless stretch of road. Bad things happen on that road…and you can see why…it is so isolated!

Funny! Good thing you are driving during winter as if it was any other time of the year, the smell between the oil refineries and the cattle ranches is enough to make you…well…up chuck!

When i was a kid we’d drive from central Louisiana to Santa Fe, pulling a airstream half the time. I remember it took FOREVER. And we were always looking for mirages.
