Save your tops when removing tags by using specialty needlework scissors here is an example:
1) Scissors - Boo Boo Snips
Simply slide the fine-pointed tip under the stitches to be removed, lift them away from the fabric and snip. http://www.nordicneedle.com/PROD/E17-00-00/7209.html

2) Curved Tip Lift And Snip in Case
3-1/2" curved tip lift and snip scissors in a pouch. The fine, curved tip on these scissors is more efficient for removing stitches. Superb quality!" http://www.nordicneedle.com/PROD/E17-00-00/7251.html

I have both and swear by them to make quick snips without risking the sweater or garment.

I've always removed those darn tags. Another thing is how do they expect us to read instructions on those little itty bitty tags?

You are so right! :cursin: And a close second are those annoying price and/or barcode tags that don't come off easily - I've found the miracle remover is plain Lighter Fluid and a close second is Rubbing Alcohol!

My problem with the garment tags is the washing instructions. I hate it when they have those symbols -- the triangle with the line though it... etc. What the hell does that mean? It's bad enough when I can't read the print (it's too small without my glasses) but I'm totally lost when it comes to those symbols. :???:

Oh, I hear you sister. I've cut holes in several tops while cutting off the tags.

I am SO with you on this. Who do they think is going to see that tag once it's sold? sheesh.

I find those to be annoying as well. Before wearing new clothes I always cut the tags out.

I, too, hate scratchy tags and refuse to wear anything that has them. I always have to remove them. When companies started making tagless clothes (like t-shirts & underwear *g* ) I was so happy!
