It all starts innocently enough. The lovely flower girl (the girl in the middle here) handing out wedding programs to the guests. Cute as a button. On her best behavior.

She is her mother’s daughter, after all, and she soon starts climbing the nearby wall. I don’t blame her. Handing out programs is boring when there are things like walls and railings to play on.

Soon it is time for her real job as adorable flower girl. She carefully scatters the petals so they land on the grass and not the cement.

She quietly watches her aunt get married. (Is she just not the cutest, most adorable flower girl???)

Weddings are a bit boring when you’re 4 though. Oh, I’m sorry, almost five. Sometimes it’s more fun to zone out and stare at the guests. (As an aside, notice how the sash on her flower girl dress, matches the material on her mom’s maid of honor dress-her mom is standing there behind her.)

It’s exciting being a flower girl. You get your picture taken with your mom. You get TIRED of getting your picture taken. You stub your toe. You get more pictures taken. Finally, at the end of the night, you find your grandma’s lap.

Flower girls all agree that grownups party way too late into the night… (really, does that not melt your heart??)

Oh wow. How cute is that? Thanks for sharing!
She is adorable. Looks like she did a great job and was well behaved. Climbing didn’t interfere with her duties.
Beautiful! I love those blue bouquets!
I remember several family weddings when I was little and eventually ended up asleep on the reception chairs. So adorable!
