I thought you guys might enjoy seeing some before and after pictures of when I’m working with textures and going for a fine art technique for my photos.
Here is the one from Pink is the New Black post. I set it up in my kitchen with light coming in through the french doors. I used foam board propped up to reflect more light back on the flowers.
Here is a hydrangea photo that I did. I took this one on my desk in my office with my big silver reflector as a background. Note to self…you know that red towel I had on my desk to protect from the leaky roof? Move it off the corner of the desk before taking the shots. See the red reflected in the reflector??
This one I took directly in front of the window in my kitchen and blew out most of the background.
The textures I used on these photos are from Florabella. I bought the set she has for sale. There is also a flickr group for people who use her textures. There is some amazing photography/art there. Check it out. Blame my texture obsession on Kate, from Chronicles of a Country Girl and her amazing Picture a Day blog. She got me started on them…

Amazing the things you (not me, YOU) can do with a photo. Take a pretty one and make it gorgeous!
Your photos are amazing…I will get to work on mine, when I get some time. I am learning quite a bit from you. Thank you!

I wish I was a master of photoshop like you… I think it would be so much fun
Those are just beautiful, Kacey! Wow.
These are really great, thanks for the lesson.
I think I am addicted to taking these flower photos…
