So I go over to The Geeky One’s house and see this cute wreath on his front door. Now, I’m pretty sure he’s never bought a wreath in his whole life…though I guess he knows what one is…
I’m fairly certain this was The Adorable Fiancee’s addition to the home…
Anyway, she was telling me how the wreath was getting bare because the birds were coming and stealing pieces of it for their nests.
The Geeky One dutifully points out to me the offending nest…
BUT WAIT!
What do we spy behind the wreath???
The birds have made their nest right on the door, behind the wreath!!
So, now the dilemma, do they stop using their front door until the little baby birds are hatched? (I don’t think there are eggs yet). Do they go out the back door? Through the garage? Or do they take down the wreath and the nest and let their door go naked??
I’m glad it’s not MY decision to make! I’m a great mom. I don’t offer unsolicited advice. (much). 😉
A bird in the hand is worth two in the wreath. I’m sure you’ve heard that saying before…
