Now on to the important discussion! Why in the world do you think that the word pansy became something bad to call a person? Why is being a pansy considered being wimpy or gay? I’d think being a pansy should mean being bright, cheerful, perky! Ah, well, I’ll never fully understand the English language. Do you have other words that you can’t figure out how they became twisted to their slang meaning?

I have never understood that either. Because from where I sit, pansies are very sturdy. You can put them out early, and they will survive snow and hail and just about everything you can hurl at them. And the pansy? Just keeps on providing us with its beauty!
It’s probably because a pansy looks a little like… oh, nevermind. Great pics!
