Ah, there was singing and dancing and happiness at The Love Nest this past week. Why, you ask?
You remember The Tragedy of the Milk Glass Lamp, right? Where I knocked over the lamp and broke the lamp shade? Tragedy, I tell you!
Then my subsequent hunt for a replacement shade and I settled on this one, shown above.
Imagine my joy and surprise (and a bit of hugging SuperGuy and clapping my hands and a bit of jig in the middle of the Antique store)…I found this!!
Yep, I found another lamp! The milk glass part of it matches my old lamp, but the stand is a bit different.
So now I have two lamps, if I want. Or I can put the top of the new lamp onto the old base (’cause I like the old base better) Ah, life is good, I’m telling you!! Color me happy. :heart:
(Found at The Brass Armadillo out of Kansas City. (Grain Valley) Huge antique mall, but very hard to find!)
the brass Armadillo is easy to find as it is on the outer road of I-70 as you drive past but it is hard to get to as one has to drive through a subdivision behind the store to get to it! VERY poor signage off of the highway to the store. We GPS’d it and had been there before but we were watching for signs that were not there. Just saying.
Well, I’m glad Kacey’s doing the happy dance. It’s always good when the mama is happy. I’m just sayin’. :lips:
Just saw this today – I’m looking for the same shade! I was given the lamp, but the shade was broken. My Mom has one just like it, she believes my Grandma got it with S & H Green Stamps.

do you still have the upper lamp shade to your second lamp? Does it have the flowers? If so I would be interested in the upper shade. I also have busted the lamp shade on my wifes lamp that she got from her mother. if you could email me and let me know.
I pieced together the s as me lamp. but now I know how should look. cool!!!
OMG, I have this lamp also. It was my grandmothers and my son broke the top shade. I would love to find one also. I stop at yard sales all summer hoping to have a lucky find. If anyone has the shades with the flowers and would like to sale it please let me know. I would be one happy girl..
