Taking a bit of an artistic license with naming this Garden Self Portrait…
But, see?? There I am in the bottom left corner. Hm, maybe I should title this Self Portrait by Shadow?
Anyway, see SuperGuy’s truck up there in the background? That’s going to be our garden :heart: I cannot wait. It’s right behind the house in a big old clearing. An expensive big old clearing…(we had to have a swampy lagoon cleared and filled in). I’m hoping to have some beds in and a fence around it in time to get in a fall crop. We’ll see.

So I have a love/hate relationship with hollyhocks. There, I’ve said it.
They are pretty, I’ll admit that.
For like the one week they look good and the other week they look kind of good.
Then they look horrible and beat up. All that garden space for like 10 days of pretty? I’m so over that…
If a big space in my garden is only going to give me a week of photo op…then it needs to be replanted with something that blooms longer. I’m just sayin’
Anyone want some hollyhocks?? (and is that one word or two??) I think it’s one, because my Apple spellcheck didn’t flag it as one word…)

I was playing around awhile ago taking photos for a mock up for a friend’s book cover. Which led me to thinking up other crazy book covers… You know how I love to play with my photos in photoshop.
Anyway, I took some more photos and played around with them and came up with this make-believe book about The Love Nest.

I did have a good time creating the cover and playing with making it look like midnight…(took the house shot in broad daylight).
No, it’s not a real book. Yes, I should be cleaning the house, doing laundry, and paying bills…why do you ask?
So, what do you do to avoid your chores??
