Fall Chores

by Kay~Kacey on 10/23/2009

Yes, it’s that time of year. Time to do some of the fall chores. “We” worked on them this week.

Time to dig up the Canna bulbs for the winter.

SuperGuy is even a cheerful fall chorer (is TOO a word).

It’s time to plant the TEN !! bushes that “we’ve” been talking about putting in to hide the underside of the deck.

Okay, I’ve been wanting to block the view under the deck…but SuperGuy picked out the bushes. So I figured it was his project… 😉

No, I was NOT trying to get a shot of SuperGuy’s behind. Honest. I’m not like that. I was just trying to show that, yes, he has on his beloved orange crocs.

After a hard day of fall chores…the newly stacked fireplace logs beckon…. what should we do now??    :love2:

Fall Food

by Kay~Kacey on 10/13/2009

It’s that time of year. Autumn. Time to change out from lighter, cooler to food to cool weather food.

Last night I put on my first pot of chili of the season. Yum. The house smelled so great.

As the weather turns cold, I crave different comfort foods. (SuperGuy swears he doesn’t understand the whole comfort food thing, but I know he’s stressed when he heads for certain foods. So there’s the truth. Just don’t tell him I have him figured out!) Anyway, when the weather turns cold I want chili. Pot roast. Apple Pie. Fresh homemade bread. Homemade noodles. Chocolate. (okay, I want chocolate all year long, but I just thought I’d throw that in there.)

So what are you cool weather/cold weather comfort foods? Or what is your all year long comfort food? Confess to us all.

Barefoot in November

by Kay~Kacey on 11/6/2008

Really, the weather is so strange. Not that I’m complaining. We’ve had brilliant fall colors. Glorious sunshine. 78 F degrees. In November. N.O.V.E.M.B.E.R.

Barefoot in November!

I do so love the changing of the seasons! I’m going to miss going barefoot though. The feel of the ground under my feet. Cool grass, warm sidewalks, plush carpeting…anything. Right there under my feet to feel. Love it. Wiggle my toes and stretch my feet. Barefoot is like the ultimate freedom from responsibility. I love to go barefoot!

I’m sorry for those of you with cold weather already. Or worse yet, snow. :mad2: But the weather here in the midwest in the states has been wonderful! How has your autumn weather been? Or tell me you’re a barefoot addict too!
