The boys are coming to town…
Rumor has it that 20 + males are hitting Vegas this weekend for our oldest’s bachelor party. I’m not sure Vegas is ready for them.
I’m sure they’ll be okay….and not cause much trouble…she said, hopefully.
they look innocent enough
Kinda…
I’m not sure how these little boys got to the grown up stage
They grow up so quickly…
But can I just say…what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…I’m sure this mama doesn’t want to hear about 99% of the stuff that will go on this weekend. Stay safe. Be good. Have fun. (in that order…)
So my oldest son comes up to me at the wedding reception and says, “Grab your camera. Stephanie’s lost that lovin’ feeling.” I’m thinking, what???
They plop her down in a chair. She says “I’m not doing the garter thing.”
30-40 boys all drop to their knees and start singing:
You never close your eyes any more
When I kiss your lips
And there’s no tenderness like before
In your fingertips
You’re trying hard not to show it baby
But baby, baby I know it
You’ve lost that loving feeling
Oh, that loving feeling
You’ve lost that loving feeling
Now it’s gone, gone, gone
Whoa-oh
Some of them really got into it… Gabe, that would be you…
Seriously, are they not all having the best time?? Love these kids!
Stephanie totally enjoying herself.
The bum, bum, bum, snapping part of the song.
Yep, it’s too bad Stephanie lost her Lovin’ Feeling…just 3 hours into her married life! :love2:

New Orleans. One of my favorite places. We used to have a farm out of New Orleans. I just loved that place. Anyway, how does New Orleans tie into this post? I know you are wondering just that very thing!
So this week, I was visiting my oldest son. You saw his very clean desk. Well, look at this on top of his desk.
Yes, a hurricane glass from Pat O’Briens in New Orleans. Why does that make me smile, you ask? Should a mother smile at her son’s drinking? Does that make me a bad mother? Am I a bad influence on him? Do I have ANY influence on him??
Well, I guess I have SOME influence over him. Here we were in New Orleans this summer, having a great time! (2 of five boys, the ones over 21…oldest son on the right with the cap, next oldest the left.) Anyway, he carefully guarded that glass the rest of vacation. Considering the hubbub that was that entire trip, it’s a miracle the glass survived. Now it sits on his very clean desk. In his very clean and nicely decorated apartment. I think #2 son kept his glass too…I so should have kept mine. Though to be perfectly honesty here, I already have a few of them from other trips. 😉
