The Perfect Husband–
or why I’m totally nuts about SuperGuy
- He’s the strongest, gentlest man I’ve ever known.
- He has a cute butt. (okay, I admit, sometimes I’m a superficial kind of gal.)
- He’s always there for me. Always. No matter what I try, he supports me. Writing, blogging, photography, knitting–anything and everything.
- We get up early and have coffee together every morning. Usually in my office watching the birds. I love that he takes this time to talk with me. I love that he fills my bird feeders each week because he knows how much I enjoy birdwatching.
- He buys me great silver jewelry. I love silver jewelry. I sometimes pick a fake fight with him so he’ll bring me silver jewelry as a peace offering. He knows this about me though and lets me get away with it. (I told you that sometimes I’m a superficial kind of gal! )
- He’s a voracious reader like me. Sometimes we just sit and read together.
- We still enjoy just sitting and talking. A lot. We sometimes spend hours just sitting in front of the fire, sipping wine and talking.
- He’s a wonderful woodworker and makes things for me. Like this bookcase and this spice rack and my very cool desk..
- His strong arms wrap around me and make me feel so safe and secure.
- He tells me I’m cute even when I’m wearing my Elmo tshirt, gym shorts and wearing my glasses
- He knows what a vacuum is and isn’t afraid to use it.
- His voice is deep and sexy. Sigh. It makes my heart flutter. Really. Still.
- He’s honest. Very honest. He’s a great role model for my boys. He’s a wonderful father and stepfather.
- He mows the yard. I hate mowing the yard.
- He’s fun. We have a lot of fun together. His eyes sparkle with mischief. I love his warm, wonderful eyes.
- He cooks. He’s a great cook. He cooks A LOT. That’s a good thing.
- I never thought it was possible to love a person this much. It is. I wish this for all of my boys. That they’ll find someone they love, and who loves them as much and SuperGuy and I love each other.
