It’s great to be home! Oh, I miss the sunshine. The warm weather. The colors. My parents. But there is just something to be said for being back home. In my own house. My own bed with the softest sheets in the world.
It was hard to adjust to scenes like this out my office window. Rather dreary looking, isn’t it? And I’m beginning to think maybe we put white roofing shingles on the gazebo out there. Well, it might be a dull and dreary backyard, but it’s MY backyard.
The birds are rather mad at me. In fact, I think we aren’t speaking! No seed in the birdfeeder, and none in the garage to fill the feeder with either. Oops! Must go out (once the sleet and snow! stop) and get more bird food.
And the black beasts!! They won’t let me alone. Swarming around my legs. Giving me the evil eye for deserting them. Then back to snaking their eely way around my feet.
Yes, I know. I said I was sorry! I’ll never leave you again!! Quit looking at me like that!! Kitty Judgment. Which, by the way, I think judgment looks stupid without the first “e” in it. Who decided it would be judgment instead of judgement in most of the American dictionaries?? Oh, and Apple’s spell checks insists there’s no first “e” in it either. Well, it looks silly without two “e’s” Who do I write to complain?? :mad2:
Well, I’m days and days behind myself now that I’m home. But isn’t that always the way it is when you get a chance to go away for a few days? But that’s okay. Because I’m home. I love being home. I’m a hopeless homebody. I do miss the orange flowers though…
Welcome home!
Welcome home…and I’m with you on the two “e” thing.
Thanks for the welcome home wishes! I do so love being home. Well, except I miss the flowers. It was SO fun to do all that photography. I think I took like 500 pictures when I was out there!
Now I’m watching a blowing snow storm…
I miss sunshine and warm weather. I’m so ready for winter to be OVER. Love the pixs, especially the chickadee, they’re my favorite. I get them in the feeders in the back yard and could just watch them for hours. If I had hours…
I love your gazebo. That must be heavenly in the summer.
Welcome home! I like your gazebo – we want to put one out by our pond… eventually.
I love being home, too. I’ve become quite the homebody lately, but I’m really itching to go home and visit my family. Only problem is I hate the drive there – 450 miles in a straight line. :wallbash:
I have a black kitty, too! We named him Slick and boy, does that name every fit!
I’ve always wondered that about “judgment” vs “judgement” too! It just looks weird.
There’s no place like home!
:bath:
I’ve been back 1 week, 1 day…..it’s not lookin’ good here…..did you know that white towels multiply when left alone??
It is good to be home. I’m with ya on the double e thing too. Maybe we should start a petition!
I also have trouble with truely and truly, I’m always going for truely…truly not the correct way to spell it.
abb
There IS no place like home! I am a homebody as well. And I feed my birds too. And I have the same shoes! Hehehe! Oh, BTW, I saw my first redbreasted robin today. Spring is just around the corner!
Your orange flowers are right here on my computer screen’s background……so I don’t have to miss them! Thanks!!
Jeannelle, glad you liked the orange flowers. I miss them
Well, spring is not just around the corner. We got a foot of snow today. I was not amused.
Tracey, you know, we don’t get many robins around here anymore.. I wonder what’s up with that?
annbb…well, I don’t know about white towels multiplying, but the bills sure did!!
Welcome home! I agree there is no place like home, but it is good to get out every once in awhile. I’m sure your trip broke up the monotony of winter! We’re getting 5″ of snow tonight (or last night I should say) now.
🙂 looks like paradise to me!
