Taking a break from the males

by Kay~Kacey on 12/28/2008

Just taking a break from all the maleness that is my house this weekend.

pretty white flowers

I’ll just sit here and stare at the pretty white flowers. The pretty GIRLY white flowers. Sigh. So nice and peaceful in my office. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I do love the boy noise. I love the laughter and good natured competition and..well all of it.

But it does get a bit male after awhile, you know?

Rudolph monopoly

Do you think I could any of them to play a nice, sweet, game of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer monopoly with me? Hm, though the last board game we all played was Clue…which turned into Full Contact Clue… 😯 …

Nevermind, maybe I’ll just go sip a nice glass of merlot…

I sure hope full contact Clue doesn’t involve acting out the murder scenario. Oh my.

Merlot! I’m not drinking any ^%&(&ing merlot!

Name that movie!

Sounds like a fun weekend, though . . .

merry, merry!!!

I always say a gal has to have her girl friends from time to time. And where did you get that very cute game? How adorable! I am just imagining the streets…I bet North Pole is the most expensive!

Suzanne December 28, 2008 at 8:32 am

That is so adorable! I had no idea they had Rudolph Monopoly!

Aw, my husband feels the same way about all the girly-ness going on at our house when my two 20-something daughters visit — although he reaches for beer and “Roadhouse” instead of pretty white flowers and merlot. Anytime you need a dose of feminine, come on over!

Ha! Leave it to males to turn a board game into a contact sport! They take competition seriously. I think you are safer with the Merlot!

I raised two boys long before I was blessed with the adoption of a daughter. I can relate well to your need for girly quiet. LOL my daughter is a tomboy and more daring then the guys in the family. So sometimes you can’t win.

Oh how I feel your pain. I am surrounded by my darling husband and my wonderful son. I do have 4 female dogs who come to rescue. When a movie is mentioned it’s action packed with blood, guns and gore. I did get to see Marley and Me with my all female family. We cried and laughed and had a wonderful girly time.

I might need the directions for full contact Clue!!

Kacey December 28, 2008 at 1:28 pm

The Rudolph monopoly game was a present. Not sure where they got it.

Tori Lennox December 28, 2008 at 2:29 pm

I want a Rudolph Monopoly game!!! Not that I ever actually play Monopoly, mind you, but still.

You are too funny! LOL Love the white flowers… I’m thinking I need some of those, because I got a macro lens for Christmas. Yay!
xoxo,
Mary

Full Contact CLUE?

Having nothing buy boys in my house…I can totally picture it.

I think my husband can empathize with you… he has so many women around there are days he’s concerned he’s going to grow breasts! He wishes…
