Two Down

Three to go… On college graduations that is…

Yes, it’s that time of year. Graduation. This year we only had one graduation. Unlike last year when The Geeky One and The Impish One insisted on graduating on the same day. One from college, one from high school.

This year it was The Photography One’s turn. I am so proud of this son.

graduation-5

This young man is the epitome of stick-to-it-ness and perseverance. He’s overcome tremendous obstacles on his academic journey. But he kept at it. Refusing to give up. Not the least of the obstacles was that his college, due to some screw ups, told him he was short like 30 hours just a few short weeks ago. By the time they got their mess all figured out, it was too late for him to walk in the graduation ceremonies. Well, that never stops this family from throwing a hellacious party!

graduation party

Friends and family. Laughing and telling of stories. A bit of drinking.

pointing pic

Of course there was the obligatory pointing pic… 🙄 You would have expected anything less from these boys??

reflection in sunglasses

There was time to “reflect” on how my sons have grown up into such fine young men.

toast to graduation

So here is a toast to my son. SuperGuy and I are so proud of you. For all your hard work and the fact you’ve never given up no matter what life threw at you. Son, may your life be filled with happiness, good health, success and love.

I used to whisper to each of my sons separately that they were my favorite.
Congrats to your son. Sucks about the 30 hours, though!
