When summer gathers up her robes of glory,
And, like a dream, glides away.
~ Sarah Helen Whitman
I don’t care what people say, to me, the end of summer is Labor Day Weekend. You can say the end of summer is when kids go back to school. (Which used to be the day after Labor Day here in Missouri, but now it’s like mid August). Or you can claim that the last day of summer is later this month when we officially welcome autumn. But the truth? The end of summer is Labor Weekend. Honest. Sigh.
Enjoy the end of summer this weekend!
Good bye summer and GOOD RIDDANCE! For me, waking up to temperatures below the 90 degree mark is the best!
I know, I live in the wrong spot. Working on that one…
Happy WEEKEND to you as well…
Agreed…
Yup, it is. Absolutely. I don’t mind it either. Hoping you sure don’t!
I’m beginning to plan a weekend at Lauren & Annie’s up in CT for some time this fall. I guess I should really tell Lauren this . . . if you could get away, it would be wonderful.
