… or lack there of. I’m having the hardest time sleeping through the night these days. (or, should I say, these nights?) For instance, here I am at 3am doing what any sane photographer would be doing…playing with photoshop.
Sometimes, I’m not feeling the love for this stage of life…well, parts of it anyway…the non-sleeping part of it especially. :wallbash:
If only it were light out, I could go outside and take photos…
Well, I guess I’ll go do the crossword puzzle then see if I can grab a few more hours of sleep. Then I’ll be up drinking lots and lots of coffee while I blog hop this morning. Do you ever go through stretches when sleep is hard to come by for you? I have finally decided it’s better to get up and do something for awhile, rather than just stay there in bed and stare at the clock.
Hi – came across your blog from twittermoms. Your blog title is great – I actually had a wine on the keyboard incident a few years ago with my laptop. It barely survived! Your photos are beautiful. Makes me want to get in the garden! As for the sleep…maybe you need a glass of wine 🙂
For the most part I don’t have problems getting to sleep.. oh, unless hubby snores which is EVERY night. But I do find that naps are a bit more essential.
Great job with the photoshop!

Ugh. Advil PM.
I share your frustration. Sometimes I can’t go to sleep when I should. Sometimes I can’t stay asleep. I’ve not decided yet whether it’s this stage of life or that I’ve slowed down enough that my body isn’t getting as much exercise as it should every day. But hey, it’s spring, and I have big gardens, an escape artist calf, a sneaky ewe, and a thousand bits of hard labor outdoors to test that exercise theory.
Oh how I hate this “pause” that doesn’t refresh. Keeps me up at night too.
I have one word for you….hormones! It works like a champ for me!
I’m the complete opposite. I may fall asleep before my head hits the pillow and I’m out until the alarm rings…and sometimes not even then. It’s a gift. I know.
Oh yes…the hours of lying there watching the clock trying to get to sleep or the suddenly wide awake at 2. then 3. then 4. Arrrrgh! I feel your pain & frustration. I have found that getting up and doing something vs fighting it does occasionally help but then, like you, I have to mainline coffee to get thru the day. Maybe you can share some of those ‘photo’s after dark’ with us. A lighting challenge! Cheers!
