Ah, I love my backyard. The bird feeder. The woods behind us. All the animals that come and visit me. Sometimes I even like the snow, when the sun comes shining through it. I can’t imagine living somewhere else where I don’t have my marvelous backyard. It almost makes winter bearable. Enjoy your weekend, my friends.

I seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time just sitting at my office window, staring into the woods. Thinking. Planning. Dreaming. Winter is like that for me. So I sit and dream. I let memories drift up from my subconscious–the good ones and the bad. I allow myself some idle downtime in winter…without regret or guilt. Contemplation is my secret pleasure in winter.

I find that at this time of the year, everything seems possible. My life is a blank page to fill however I want to write on it. It’s never too late to change or become the person you want to be.
