So I was supposed to work a half day. Um, worked through lunch and got home about 4:30…that doesn’t seem very half day to me. The phones rang crazy all day, people were weird :crazy2: . The computer kept throwing error messages at me. I go to the post office because we were out of flippin’ stamps at work. The phone lines were down so they couldn’t process my credit card, I didn’t have a business check…so I scrounged around in my purse long enough to come up with money for like 10 stamps. Had to go to the bank on the way home. 10 minutes later I’m still standing in line and the same stupid clueless jerkfaces patrons are still at the teller windows. NOT ONE had moved.
So I get home, had forgotten to turn on the air conditioner in my office (it’s a converted “all weather” room off the family room, so the house air conditioning doesn’t go out there) It’s friggin’ HOT out there :angry:
To top off the whole day…I go and grab an ice COLD beer…and spill it all over my desk!! On the RWA CD’s of workshops, on the pictures I meticulously cut out last week for my woowoo poster . Ruined. Drowned a new magazine. The walkman…not the cheapo one, the one that actually plays DID PLAY mp3s– of course.
Some times it’s the pitter patter of little things…ALL DAY LONG…that get you down :mad2: All I can say is it’s a damn good thing it wasn’t my LAST beer :beer:

Sorry the day was such a wash. And you know what they say about idiots. It’s that “herd” mentality. They cluster up, I’m sure.

I hear ya on the a/c – mine isn’t working right, so I leave it off during the day and turn it on when I get off work. The house is hot, stuffy, and plain miserable. How can one write under such conditions?
