So I adore SuperGuy’s Aunt. We had a great visit with her. She’s one feisty lady. She doesn’t like to cook. Freely admits it.
So she doesn’t cook. Ever.
No, really.
In case you missed that….
An oven is just extra storage space for SuperGuy’s aunt, bless her heart. I love that’s she’s so totally honest about it. “I. Do. Not. Cook.” Of course I always worry that someone might come over and turn on her oven…
She’s in this lovely retirement community now. Must post pictures soon. In her old house, which we’re desperately trying to get cleaned up and on the market, she kept tupperware in the oven. So I guess this is an improvement. Maybe 😉 I love a woman who knows her own mind.
SuperGuy and I wandered back across the state, stopping at another antique mall on the way. I found a fabulous tea cup and saucer, and another glass paperweight. We have so much fun on road trips. Both SuperGuy and I sang in our church choirs growing up, so we love to plop in some CD’s and sing along as we drive down the road. Such fun. Which is a good thing, ’cause we’re headed back to SuperGuy’s aunt’s again in two weeks for more get-the-darn-house-ready-to-put-on-the-market fun. :crazy2:
That is one clean oven! I love a good road trip, too. 😎
My grandma used to have those little stacking washer and dryer sets. She would keep bags of chips and other food in her dryer if it wasn’t working or just if she wasn’t using it. :crazy2:
Now that’s the cleanest oven I have ever seen. Nothing like a good road trip and singing along together.
My hubby’s mom also didn’t cook and kept her oven full of paper bags and plastic storage containers. Her oven broke about 10 years ago and she never felt the need to get it fixed.
IF I didn’t cook, it would be like playing a country song. I’d lose my house, my dog, my kid, my hubby, my horse…you get the picture.
Road trips. Singing in the truck. Some of my best memories! 😉
Ahahahaha – I LOVE it! what a fun post I wish I could get away with stating I. Don’t. Cook.
By the way, Kasey, if you are interested, this weekend is the premier of my new Sunday meme which is all about photos of animals. If you are interested, check it out at Camera-Critters
My sister-in-law used to keep books in her oven. Not, you know, COOKbooks, of course, LOL.
I love it . I used to keep tupperware in the oven, but then I actually used the oven once and forgot to remove it and it all melted.
Good luck with the house. The cleaning after moving is always the WORST part.
My dad’s mom didn’t cook either, but I don’t think she stored stuff in her oven!
Wake up and smell the plastic burning!
But she does eat, right?
