Monday Monday

by Kay~Kacey on 8/17/2009

Okay, my internet is so wonky. Slow. Crashing. So we’ll see how this goes. Anyway…it’s Monday. I spent the weekend working of photo biz paperwork and playing with photos. SuperGuy brought me flowers. He knows I’m just a tad addicted to taking photos of them these days. See?

Anyway, I’ve also been thinking of you who have your first college bound kiddos leaving in the next days. Like my sister, and Mental Mama. Anyone else sending off your first? Let us know! Good luck with that! It’s so neat to see your kids start to launch themselves into the world…but it’s hard at first. It’s hard to look in the mirror and believe that you’re old enough to have a child going to college, isn’t it? (can I tell you it DOES get easier after the 5th child heads to college…) :wallbash:

In other news, I’m sure a lot of you know that Mary at Dear Little Red House hosts Mosaic Monday on her blog. Hop on over and see some of the beautiful collages if you’ve never seen them. I put up my mosaic over on my photography blog. (it’s wider columns, so mosaics show up nicer over there!) Pretty Purple Petals.

I’m sending my niece off to college and she’s counting down the days until Saturday. As the aunt, I’ve been assigned to get her things such as money, dinero, moolah, coins, anything that can be used as currency.

She’ll be an hour away from her home and nine hours from me. She doesn’t think her parents will cry but I think she will.

I love the flowers! Pale Rider is not a flower kind of guy; only once has he brought me any home.

I only have the one kiddo…he is in his 4th year at school. I still miss him though.

I am heading to mosaic monday…

my only child, is in her second year at college. it does get easier i guess but i still miss her – she’s been all of my life for 19 years.
you’re really doing some nice things with your flowers. nice that you have a sweet husband to buy them for you too.

I’m another one sending off a child to college for the first time this year. I’ve cried a few times so far and so has Princess. Even though I know she is only going to be about a 35 minute drive away, it’s still killing me some. I thought I would enjoy all the peace and quiet around here, but lately for the most part it’s been that way anyway. So I have lonely days. Princess, of course, on the other hand is so excited she can’t stand it. LOL.

Trucker is on a long distance haul to CA this week and told me on the phone last night that he has passed literally hundreds of kids on their way to college’s. He knows he said because their cars or trucks are loaded with storage items, clothes, microwaves, storage bins and such. He said this made him lonely as well. However he said “you should see the smiles on these kids faces”.

Ah, Treasia, hang in there! It does seem like the roads are filled with packed cars, happy kids, headed off to college.

Yes, SuperGuy is a keeper. I adore getting flowers!

I wasn’t aware of a photography blog! This is cool.

Oh, and this photo is beautiful, Kacey. I love the textures and softening it has.

I found your blog in the Twittermoms website. My youngest is headed off to college, thus I started new blog about it. I like your blog and photos are beautiful!
