Obsession

Following along in my one word title posts…

The road to happiness lies in two simple principles: find what it is that interests you and that you can do well, and when you find it, put your whole soul into it — every bit of energy and ambition and natural ability you have. ~~ John D. Rockefeller III

I’m a bit obsessed with photography these days. Okay, okay, it’s been going on for quite awhile. I’ve worked hard at improving, learning, trying, experimenting. I DREAM about photography.

I love taking my photos and sharing them with you. Writing tidbits about my life. Hopping to your blogs and catching up with your lives. Seeing your photography. Making new blogging friends.

Maybe Rockefeller was right…put your whole soul into it when you find something that interests you, like photography does me. I first took up photography right out of college, but lost it in the haze that is motherhood to young children. I am thankful everyday that I found it again.

Do you have an obsession that feeds you and fills you and makes you feel complete? When did you find it?

What a lovely picture, makes me want to go find one of my cats for a little cuddle time. Oh wait there is already one in my lap! 🙂

I don’t know about feeding me, filling me or making me feel complete but I have a major obsession with Navy SEALs.

It is so very obvious you love that cat!

Well…actually I’ve noticed that I spend more and more times with bloggers; love checking out their photos, reading about their daily trials and joys. Who would have thought that so many connections could brighten a day. What a special companion you have here!

It’s photography that does it for me, too. It’s what I spend most of my free time doing. Taking photos, working on them. The working on them is such a joy, and quite addictive too. I make YouTube movies out of them. Would you call that obsessed?
I don’t know how to do these self-portraits, though. I could figure it out but I am so not photogenic.

Hey…apparently Twitter is NOT your obsession…your last tweet was in AUGUST!!!! :typing:

Like you, my obsession is photography. My obsession isn’t just taking the photos… it has expanded, because I promised myself that this year I would take actions to try to make something happen with my photograph, rather than just talking about it. So, my obsession is everything to do with photography… taking the photos, looking at other people’s photos, creating my photography sales websites, revamping those sites, etc, etc
