…of my birds in snow pics yet? Remember when we were trying to decide what this bird was? We decided it was an immature Red Winged Black Bird. Well look! He brought his friends!
Yep, that looks like a Red Winged Blackbird to me! I’ve never seen them around here before!
They were out in full force during the snowstorm! Here is the immature one again.

Seriously. Still blooming.
Do they not know it is autumn? Almost winter?
I would guess not, since they hang on through the frost.
I know one of these days I’ll look out my kitchen window and they’ll be gone. But for now? I’m still so enjoying them. Do you have anything still blooming where you live?
So I captured this photo out my window. Haven’t seen one of these before.
As near as I can guess, it’s an immature male red wing black bird. I did see red on its wings as it flew away. But we never have red winged black birds here. Does anyone want to venture a different guess or say I’m right? :anyone:
