So, here it is. My magic spot to brainstorm. I can’t tell you how many books I have plotting right on this spot. Looking out at the lake. Drinking coffee :coffee: …or beer  …depending on the time of day. This spot should be patented and everyone should have one. It’s even better than plotting in the shower! I sit here and it’s like my brain goes into overdrive. I get the seed of an idea. The next day more ideas and twists come. I just love my magic brainstorming paradise spot.
Do you have a spot that guarantees great plot ideas and brainstorming?
Oh my, what a lovely spot.
Okay, this is how pathetic I am. I do some of my best brainstorming when I’m mopping the floor or washing dishes. I’m not sure why, but the activity forces me to focus, particularly if I have ye olde iPod plugged in.
Oooh, Kacey. Gorgeous view. I’m jealous. That spot, a cup of :coffee2: and a notebook . . . I’d be set.
Actually, we drive up to the lake during the summer, and I do a lot of writing by hand there. And I’ve discovered mowing the lawn is prime brainstorming time. Something about the mindlessness of it.
Wow…I’m jealous. What a beautiful spot. I brainstorm constantly, so I don’t know that I have a specific spot, but a lot of it occurs while I’m driving, which isn’t so good. Apparently trying to jot down notes and keep your eyes on the road isn’t as easy as one might imagine. 🙄
Great picture. My brainstorming spot–the best but not always avaliable–an airplane. It must be the thin air.
Wow, that’s gorgeous. I don’t really have a brainstorming place. Except bed. I sometimes crawl into bed just to think. I know, I’m a freak.
Love your view!
Beautiful spot! How lucky you are….
Me, I guess my brainstorming spot would be as I weed my garden…very thoughtless work, that allows for my brain to go into its own little world (and so, what’s different about THAT?! 😆 )
You’re so lucky! That’s beautiful. Um, no spot comes to mind at the moment. I could be sitting, driving, ready to go to sleep, and ideas may just pop up when they have the whim. =) Or not. :crazy2:
Ahhh, I want your spot! 🙂 My spot is still the shower, but I would love to find one out by myself in nature. Preferably close enough to the facilities that if I have to go, it’s not a half-hour trek to modern conveniences. :cool2:
Nice spot!!!
I love it, Kacey! I used to drive out to the Superstition Mountains and hang out at a picnic table and write when I lived in Arizona. Very inspirational. :typing:
Amy, I get some of my best ideas in the shower, too! :bath:
Rene, why is it that mindless household chores work for brainstorming too? Linda, I just say no to mowing, so I’m not sure how that one works. Kelly, I’m always brainstorming in my head too…but this spot just kicks it up a notch.
mary, you’re brainstorming spot–an airplane–could get VERY expensive
Amy, yes, the shower is my number two best spot …especially if I’ve had my coffee first :coffee:
Tori, ah, the mountains. Now THAT I could learn to make my best spot too…
No wonder it’s your favorite spot. What a gorgeous view! I do my best brainstorming while I’m sewing hockey jerseys. Daydreaming and playing what-if are the only things that get me through it.
Kacey, that’s beautiful!
I brainstorm at the desk. And eat here. And work here. And…good God. I need to get away from the desk some.
That or the bed. I have my trusty notebook, my Diet Pepsi, and a pen. What more do I need? Though I would love a view such as yours.
Grins*
I love that spot! Very nice.
GM’s,Kacey . . . I had brainstorming on the brain today too. But I do like your spot. I don’t have pictures like that.
Wow, that looks EXACTLY like the dock on the lake at our old house!!! Sigh….
I think I’m going to borrow your brainstorming spot for a while. It’s beautiful.
My best times for brainstorming are when we’re traveling – I can’t really settle in much on a plane or in the car, so I use that time to kind of zone out. Then again, I can pretty much zone out anywhere…
Lovely spot! And No one else around! The best part!
Wow, this is amazing. But it got me to thinking. I don’t have a place I normally brainstorm. Usually my critique partner, Gena Showalter, and I come up with our ideas while driving in the car. I’m thinking I need to come up with some place inspirational!
I don’t really have a specific place to brainstorm. When I make the long trek across the state to visit my family (it’s a 5 1/2 hour drive), I like to think about my plots. I’ve done quite a bit of plotting that way.
