Magic March

by Kay~Kacey on 3/5/2007

Yes, it’s Magic March. Time to make magic with our writing. Of course, the only way to make magic is to put your butt in the chair and write… :mad2:

So I’m once again stuck on internal GMC for my characters. I don’t know why this hangs me up. But it does. Every time. I’ve told myself to get over it and just learn to do it. But EVERY TIME it happens again. I usually get one the characters pretty nailed down. But then I have the hardest time with the other character.

This time my heroine has trust issues. She’s been hurt. People she loves leave her. (yes, trite and done a lot, but I think I handled it well). But then the hero? Well, right now he doesn’t have any flaws and is pretty damn perfect. Yes, I know, this is a problem isn’t it??:crazy2:

Hmm, not necessarily. I rarely make my characters equal in their faults and issues. Its too exhausting. If my heroine is messed up beyond belief, my hero’s issues aren’t nearly as deep.

Ugh, GMCs are tough for me too! Mainly I have the problem of laying them out in syns, because in my head I know what I want to show happen, but summing it up is a problem for some reason.

Good luck fixing it, Kacey! You can do it! :coffee2:
