The last flowers of fall

So it’s autumn here. The weather just doesn’t know it yet. Here is a stray flower that is managing to survive

and this one:

I’m SO not ready for winter… Though I do miss writing in front of the fireplace

Rene 10/18/2007 at 5:42 pm: I have dahlias blooming again. My roses bloom all the way into January. I do suspect, however, we will have a cold, wet winter. In SoCal that kind sucks because our plants are built for it.
