Taking a break from the males

by Kay~Kacey on 12/28/2008

Just taking a break from all the maleness that is my house this weekend.

pretty white flowers

I’ll just sit here and stare at the pretty white flowers. The pretty GIRLY white flowers. Sigh. So nice and peaceful in my office. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I do love the boy noise. I love the laughter and good natured competition and..well all of it.

But it does get a bit male after awhile, you know?

Rudolph monopoly

Do you think I could any of them to play a nice, sweet, game of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer monopoly with me? Hm, though the last board game we all played was Clue…which turned into Full Contact Clue… 😯 …

Nevermind, maybe I’ll just go sip a nice glass of merlot…

And the winner is

Announcing the winner of the Photo of 2008 contest!

Suzanne from Chickens in the Road with her Angry Young Chick photo.

The Angry Young Chick by Suzanne

I have to say, Angry Young Chick is one of those photos where you capture a moment at just the right instant. No staging, just magic clicking. Love the “expression” on this baby chick’s face.

Suzanne, send me your address and a made by SuperGuy wine cork trivet will be on it’s way to you!

Honorable Mention:

I would also like to recognize Kate from Chronicles of a Country Girl. She had 3 photos that won during the year! She won second place in the Photo of 2008 contest with her Beauty of the Rain photo. Just gorgeous.

Thanks to all that participated in the monthly contests! They were fun and we saw some awesome photography. I also want to thank all of you who dropped by and voted in the contests. It was fun!

Have yourself, a merry little Christmas
Make the yuletide gay
From now on our troubles will be miles away…

May you and your loved ones have a wonderful and safe holiday season. Whether you spend it in the midst of the chaos of noise and merriment, or spend a quiet few days of simplicity and peace. Merry Christmas, my friends.
