Lewis and Clark Restaurant

by Kay~Kacey on 1/26/2010

One of our favorite restaurants is Lewis and Clark’s in Old Town St. Charles. It’s just over the river from us in a charming historical district. There are lot of little shops and a darling brick lined main street.

We always ask to sit up on the balcony. They have an open air one in the summer, and this glass enclosed one for the nasty months, such as now. You look out on main street and the old buildings.

SuperGuy loves this picture they have at the end of the section we like to sit in. Doesn’t it look deliciously summery??

If you ever go to Lewis and Clarks, order one of their wonderful micro brew beers. Oh, and the Riverwalk sandwich. To. Die. For. I’m just saying. If you want to be totally decadent…get an order of their onion rings and jalapeno ketchup dip for an appetizer. I’m just saying that too.

As an aside…because there is one most of the time…right next to this restaurant is the Pandora bracelet store… :lips:

Do you have a favorite restaurant that you go out of your way to go to?

Pandora Bracelet Love

I love my Pandora bracelet. SuperGuy got it for me for Christmas. :love2:

It’s only supposed to have the 3 beads on it that he gave me for Christmas.

But we were in Old Town St. Charles this weekend and he showed me the shop where he bought my bracelet. Then he decided to get a few more beads to “stash them for future gifts”

And this cute little end clip so the beads can’t slide off when I take off the bracelet. Aren’t these beads beautiful??

Sigh…

Wonder how that stashing for future presents is working for SuperGuy??? :toofunny:

Obsession

Following along in my one word title posts…

The road to happiness lies in two simple principles: find what it is that interests you and that you can do well, and when you find it, put your whole soul into it — every bit of energy and ambition and natural ability you have. ~~ John D. Rockefeller III

I’m a bit obsessed with photography these days. Okay, okay, it’s been going on for quite awhile. I’ve worked hard at improving, learning, trying, experimenting. I DREAM about photography.

I love taking my photos and sharing them with you. Writing tidbits about my life. Hopping to your blogs and catching up with your lives. Seeing your photography. Making new blogging friends.

Maybe Rockefeller was right…put your whole soul into it when you find something that interests you, like photography does me. I first took up photography right out of college, but lost it in the haze that is motherhood to young children. I am thankful everyday that I found it again.

Do you have an obsession that feeds you and fills you and makes you feel complete? When did you find it?
