It’s a happy day at my house! The couch I hate so much is gone, gone, gone. Yes, it left for college, never to be seen again. I’m sure the faded yucky lose pillow couches look trashy LOVELY at college…Honest 🙄
I now have a new couch. Denim. (I’m a denim kinda of gal) It’s in our family room which I insist on being a real live in room. We eat snacks in there, the kids don’t get yelled about feet on the couch, and they can drink sodas, etc in there. The TV is in there. It’s a family friendly -family room. 
See my new pretty couch. It’s like sitting on your old favorite pair of jeans, it is SO SOFT. Now I’ve already told them it’s getting a few girly floral throw pillows… all the males just rolled their eyes when I announced this. But as the only female in the house, I need a few girly things!
My grandmother made the wedding ring quilt hanging over the couch. And my dh bought me the old singer sewing machine table at the far end of the couch that I use as a table. I’m one happy camper. But wait!! There’s more!
We also got this big overstuffed chair. My new favorite place to read! Lots of light from the window. Comfortable as only a cozy overstuffed chair can be. An ott0man to prop my feet up. Notice the table to the left of the chair. It’s a clock! So cool. And yet another quilt from my mom’s family. Doesn’t this look like the perfect place to curl up with my laptop and write?? Now, I NEED to find a leather recliner that my dh wants so he’ll STAY OUT OF MY CHAIR!!
OK, you are making me dislike my set, and it’s practically brand new. I LOVE yours!

Looks like a great room! We have denim stuff in the basement playroom/TV room for the kids. Theirs seems a little small though. Yours looks much more comfy. I’m heading over, laptop in tow. 😀
I love love love my overstuffed chair. I hate hate hate my yellow couches, but they’re only 3 years old, so I’m stuck with them for awhile.
Wow – that is one COMFY looking chair. I don’t think I’d ever get out of it. I’d have my meals served there, I’d sleep there, on hot days I’d have a hunky manservant fan me with a palm frond there… 😉

I need one of those!!! I really don’t have a comfy, overstuffed chair. And winter is coming – with all those nice long winter nights…perfect for cozying up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa. An overstuffed chair is DEFINITELY in order! :book:

(My dh wanted a leather recliner too–what we got looks like your chair and ottoman but it’s in leather. He had to have it but he still sits on the new couch instead I’ve taken over the chair. Great place to read when I’m not sliding off!!!)
