So, I have this cute lighted box at the Love Nest on my beloved gate leg table.
But I have to pull the table out to plug it in and unplug it. So…
I bought this remote control plugin adapter thingie. (technical term for it, I swear )
Now when I sit down on the couch, I just pick up this remote and click the light on.
Yes, I know, it wouldn’t hurt me to get up off my …. and go over and plug the light in. I tell myself that it’s better for the table to not be moved out from the wall and pushed back when I plug and unplug the light. I’m nice to my furniture like that. 😉

I’m having so. much. fun. decorating the New Love Nest. We went out looking for a new big plop-down-on-it and stretch-out sofa and a TV stand…and instead came home with this because SuperGuy fell in love with it.
Well, I show you the bits and pieces of it first.
Well, yes, we did come home with this Grand Marnier bottle too, for one of our fav recipes.
The edge trim is gorgeous, isn’t it?
Okay, this side is lovely, too, right? Well, here it is, in all it’s glory…
Ta da! SuperGuy’s wooden bar. I freely admit that I love it, and it goes really well with my gate leg table in the same room. Okay, I admit we did buy some other pieces…but they haven’t been delivered yet. I’ll be sure to show you how the house is shaping up as we go along on our decorating journey. Oh, and I’ll get a better shot of the full bar, once I have SuperGuy move some stuff out of the way so I can get further back, and bring over my flash. Doesn’t it look like it was meant to be in that spot? It fits perfectly! Stop by for a drink with us!

Ah, Cat Stevens. I used to love Cat Stevens’ songs. Sigh.
Morning has broken Like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken Like the first bird.
Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning!
Praise for them springing Fresh from the Word!
~ Eleanor Farjeon,
I’m going to have that Cat Stevens song stuck in my head all day. It brings back a rush of high school memories.Do you remember it?
