Forgive me my friends, for I have sinned bought another lens.
This time it is not my fault. My friend Janet Power was upgrading to the nicer version of this lens and offered me her old version of the lens..which I had borrowed from her before and love. It’s the 50mm 1.4 lens. See, she boxed it up all nice and mailed it to me.
So, we can’t really call this my fault, right? Janet forced me into it. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Maybe SuperGuy won’t notice it?
I took these photos a week or so ago before one of the big hail storms came through and stripped them bare.
I go out into the backyard every spring, just in awe of their beauty and snap their photographs, just as if I’ve never ever seen their brilliance before.
SuperGuy did put out some more bulbs last fall though. Very pretty this spring. You know, until the hail storms.
I wonder how many hours of my life I have spent taking photographs of flowers and processing them in photoshop…
After a whirlwind of decluttering and having a bunch of stuff hauled off…we decided to reward ourselves with a day of Antiquing.
Went back to one of our favorite Antique Malls.
The Pink Elephant Antique Mall on interstate 55 in Illinois. Such fun.
We had to have a Twistee Treat this trip…because it was open and selling ice cream. (SuperGuy slunk off and ate most of the ice cream cone while I was photographing…he doesn’t share well with others!)
I got some cute photography propos while we were browsing.
Another old camera. This one I’m going to use for through the lens photography where you shoot through the old camera with your new camera. Can’t wait to experiment.
..and this mint green rotary phone that I just had. to. have. Not sure why…but I picture it in a future photo shoot…
