Busted

by Kay~Kacey on 2/22/2009

So I thought when I slipped in my pink milk glass, that SuperGuy wouldn’t see the post. I posted it when he was out of town. Who knew he’d find the time to snag a computer and look at my blog while he was out of town? :help:

Well, I might as well confess my sins show my score from the flea market. Isn’t it beautiful? I think it’s my favorite ever milk glass piece. I know, I know, I’ve said that before.

Since we know that SuperGuy pays NO attention to vases, I figured I’d slip this one past him. Hm, not so much. Now, of course, I’m always on the hunt for pink flowers, ’cause they look so pretty in my pink milk glass vase.

Ah, well. There are worse quests in life that hunting for perfect pink flowers.

The More Things Change

Now

3 boys all grown up or not

All grown up.
Or not.
I’m sure that’s just a friendly brotherly hug.Right?

Possibly.
Or not.
boys will be boys
Tell me the wrestling around will end one day…tell me that males grow up some day…or tell me where you keep the Corona…

Oh, who am I kidding. I so miss the boy noise!

Life in Focus-Fiery Sunset

by Kay~Kacey on 2/20/2009

ball-of-sun

After a day of cloud and wind and rain
Sometimes the setting sun breaks out again,
And touching all the darksome woods with light,
Smiles on the fields until they laugh and sing,
Then like a ruby from the horizon’s ring,
Drops down into the night.

~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I so admire a person who can select just the exact right words to paint a vivid picture. My favorite part of this quote?  “Then like a ruby from the horizon’s ring, drops down into the night.”

I took this photo a few weeks ago on a trip over to The Love Nest. I kept telling SuperGuy “slow down, that truck is going to get in the way.” “Speed up, that truck is going to block my shot.” “Lean back.” “Get in that lane.” “The sunset is brilliant now, I need some trees in front of it.” He really enjoyed the drive.

Have a great weekend!
