Things are Moving Right Along

by Kay~Kacey on 5/20/2010

Yes, things are moving along quite nicely for The Great Rehearsal Dinner Event. ™ I mentioned it was going to be at our house in our backyard?

SuperGuy got the arbor finished! Doesn’t it look nice? I think it brilliantly finishes off the walkway to the gazebo. (and I’m not just saying that ’cause I want a new camera lens. Honest… )

He also made a matching arbor for along side the house where you enter the backyard…but that side yard…you’ve seen it here…is not picked up yet, so I’m not posting a photo of it until it is.

SuperGuy has a long list of things he still needs to do to the backyard before The Great Rehearsal Dinner Event. ™ So what does he do? He plans to go away this weekend on his annual float trip, of course. Leaving me with my credit card, the internet, and camera equipment just ripe for the taking. What was he thinking??? :toofunny:

Tiffany Blue

by Kay~Kacey on 5/17/2010

The Adorable Fiancee loves the color Tiffany Blue. Yep, there’s a woman who knows her own mind. So there was no surprise at the wedding invitations for The Geeky One and The Adorable Fiancee…

These are just. so. her. (and I raised my son to know enough not to disagree with a woman picking the wedding invitations.)

Too cute, with the hint of damask on the band, huh? Then on the left side they had the RSVP card and a card with info about the wedding location and their wedding website. (My son’s nickname IS The Geeky One, you know!)

They are just too cute, aren’t they? When I got married, wedding invitations were cream or white, engraved or embossed. Blah, blah. Wedding invitations can be so creative now! I love it!

I was not the first one to RSVP, because I had to grab photos for this blog post. It rained and was gray for days. I wanted filtered warm light to take the photos. Finally gave up and took them with the light I had. I’m waiting for it to sun up here in St. Louis just any. day. now.

Though if it wants to rain now to get it out of its system so it’s nice and sunny for the wedding and the rehearsal…I’m good with that!

I Found It!

by Kay~Kacey on 5/12/2010

I am SO not a shopper…but…. Ha! I found it! My dress for The Geeky One and The Adorable Fiancee’s wedding!

I’m really a little black dress kind of person, but I didn’t want to wear solid black. So I found this. I LOVE it. Perfect dress for a wedding at a vineyard, don’t you think?

Here is a close up. Isn’t it cute? The hem line is between knee length and tea length and is a bit twirly and fun. It has a simple ribbon waistline. The top is kind of sheer with a black shift under it.

The pressure is off now that the most important thing is decided…what I’m wearing. Everyone can carry on with the rest of their plans and decisions. The BIG decision is made.

…and I think I’m going to wear these shoes with it…

Okay, now is the time to tell me you love the dress and I picked the perfect dress for the mother of the groom… Please?? :hide:
