After a whirlwind of decluttering and having a bunch of stuff hauled off…we decided to reward ourselves with a day of Antiquing.
Went back to one of our favorite Antique Malls.
The Pink Elephant Antique Mall on interstate 55 in Illinois. Such fun.
We had to have a Twistee Treat this trip…because it was open and selling ice cream. (SuperGuy slunk off and ate most of the ice cream cone while I was photographing…he doesn’t share well with others!)
I got some cute photography propos while we were browsing.
Another old camera. This one I’m going to use for through the lens photography where you shoot through the old camera with your new camera. Can’t wait to experiment.
..and this mint green rotary phone that I just had. to. have. Not sure why…but I picture it in a future photo shoot…

I might have gotten yet another piece of milk glass.
Fenton Silver Crest milk glass to be exact. My absolute favorite. Isn’t this cute? I think it should be filled with M&M’s…what do you think??
I might, just might, have put it on SuperGuy’s new bar. :secret: He didn’t notice…and I’m not confessing. When he notices it? “Oh, that. It’s been there forever.”
I’m seriously in love with the edge of silver crest milk glass. It’s a bit of an obsession, I admit. Well, I’m off to find a package of M&M’s to fill this pretty little milk glass dish.

After teasing you yesterday, I thought I should show the truth about our weather here. Cold. Bitterly cold.
The birds are all fluffed up in the cold. It is NASTY cold out.
Poor birdies out on the icy branches. Does this Junco look cold, or what??
Weirdly enough, after being down in the below zero wind chills…we’re getting up to the upper 40’s this weekend. So they say. SuperGuy has a rare Friday off, and has promised to take me antiquing. You know, still looking for that milk glass lamp shade, along with a few other pieces of furniture for the new Love Nest. So I’ll see you guys again on Monday. Hopefully with photos of some fabulous finds from the antique mall.
